We lost an amazing mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend Sunday, January 4, 2015. MaryAnn's faith and love for the Lord was steadfast throughout her 95 years.
With more energy than most twenty year olds, MaryAnn enjoyed working hard at serving her large family, friends and others in the Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish where she was an active parishioner since 1935. She loved gardening, exercising and sipping her coffee. She loved to keep up on the latest medical miracles and was full of tips on how to stay healthy and live a long life. She was always up for a good story and a great laugh.
MaryAnn was born MaryAnn Forner in Jackson Michigan, October 19, 1919. After graduating in the class of 1937 from Jackson High School and attending Jackson Business University, she went on to work as a waitress and then as an office clerk for Lakeside Dairy and for General Products during WW II. She met and married the love of her life John R. (Jack) DesNoyer on September 8, 1945. Jack and MaryAnn settled down in Jackson after a few years in Grand Rapids, MI. They raised twelve children, seven girls and five boys born over seventeen years time, which is unheard of today. Jack and MaryAnn always felt that God would provide and that he was watching over them throughout their marriage. The entire family has been blessed with so much love and happiness and it all started with their holy bond.
Jack DesNoyer went to be with the Lord on Christmas Eve, 1994. From that day forward MaryAnn's faith never wavered. Even though his absence left a huge hole in her heart she carried on and lived the rest of her life with vigor and zest. MaryAnn loved her twelve children and prayed for them daily as God blessed her with 34 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren who will all miss her dearly. So many of her family were able to make weekly if not daily stops to check on their mother/grandmother. Those quick hi's and hugs from Mom/Grandma, will be etched in their memory along with her "need to feed" those who visited.
To have 12 children and do it successfully and with such grace was her gift from God. All of us are so proud to say that we are the sons and daughters of MaryAnn and Jack DesNoyer. Our lives will continue and we can only try to emulate the amazing Christian example they set for us.
We Love and will miss you Mom/Grandma/Great Grandma/Aunt MaryAnn and friend. You truly were "full of life".
