Was born on October 16, 1931 to Carl and Clara Iverson in Cadillac, Michigan and passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Jackson. Mary Ann was a devoted wife to the Reverend Raymond Peterson for over 61 years and he preceded her in death in 2014. Mary Ann is survived by three children; Jeff (Holly) of Jackson, Martha (John) of Rancho Santa Fe, California and Mary Garcia of Jackson. Six grandchildren; Calen (Sarah), Emily (PJ), Chris (Erika), Nick (Blake) , Sally and Sara.  One brother Jerry (Linda) Iverson, brother in law Don (Virginia) Peterson, several nieces and nephews.  Mary Ann dedicated herself to the different Congregations that she and Ray served through music, teaching, and witnessing. She brought her faith into the workplace at Warren Consolidated Schools, Patrick Petroleum, Camp International, PHP and the Bissell Corporation. She loved her involvement in Tuesday Musicale and the Scandinavian Club.

A Celebration of her life will be held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Cheryl Johnson officiating. Interment will be at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac at a later date.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, July 26 from 6 to 8 PM and on Saturday from 1:30 to 2:00 PM at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated.
