Steusloff (Dolan), Mary Patricia "Patsy"
Of Jackson, MI, dedicated matriarch, devoted follower of Christ, and thoughtful friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born February 9, 1927. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Norman, parents Francis and Loretta Dolan, and sisters Mary Frances and Barbara. She is survived by her legacy of 5 children, Kay (Tom), Patrick (Beth), Bill (Linda), Peggy (Harry), and Colleen; 13 grandchildren, David (Amanda), Mary Katherine, Sarah (Jarod), Claire (Craig), Peter (Kristin), Ryan, Lisl (Tommy), Emily (Bill), Laura, Michael, Matthew, Nicholas, and Nathan; and 5 great-grandchildren Miabella, Sophia, Gabriella, Elliott, and Noah. Patsy graduated from the University of Toledo where she met and married the love of her life, Norm, on November 5, 1949.
With a passion for education and faith, she received her masters degree in education from Michigan State University and taught at Jackson Catholic Middle School for 17 years. No words can convey how dearly her love, thoughtfulness, and humor will be missed. Her strength and appreciation for all of God's gifts will live on in those she leaves behind.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 1:00 p.m with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating with interment to follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed on Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church's Facebook Page.
The family will receive friends at church, before the Funeral Mass, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Jackson Catholic Schools, Interfaith Shelter or St. Vincent dePaul Society.
