Of Jackson passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Mary Lou was born and raised in Jackson by Marion and Patrick McDonald. She is survived by her children, Ryan and Elizabeth, grandchildren Alexander and Issabella, and siblings, Eileen, Frank, P.J., Larry, Midgie and Mike. She attended St. Mary's Star of the Sea Elementary School and later graduated from Parkside High School. A few years later, she met and married William. They were happily married for 51 years. She worked a variety of retail jobs including Sears, Field's and Polly's. Caring for both young and old family members was very important to her. She will be dearly missed by us all!

William was born and raised in Hanover by Willie and Maggie Lowe. He is survived by his children, Ryan and Elizabeth, grandchildren Alexander and Issabella, and his sisters Doreen and Yvonne. He attended Queen Of the Miraculous Medal Elementary School and later graduated from Hanover High School. At age 18, he enlisted in the Navy and sailed the world. During the Vietnam War he was stationed on the island of Guam. Upon his return, he met and married Mary Lou (McDonald) and they were happily married for 51 years. He worked primarily in the trucking industry as a dispatch manager at Yellow Frieghtways and concluding his career at USF Holland in 2008. William was a diehard Michigan sports fan. From the Red Wings in the winter to the Tigers in the summer. He also loved his dog! He will be dearly missed by us all!

Cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Lou and William will be held on Monday, August 24, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Fr. John Vinton officiating.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary Church on Monday, August 22, 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
