Of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at home under the loving care of her family and the staff of the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice at the age of 61 years. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bob; brothers and sisters, Rita (Tom) Barker, Gary (Kim) Vander Weide, Jim (Anna) Vander Weide; several nieces and nephews, and special friends the Eder and Richardson family. Preceded in death by her parents, Roger and Marie Vander Weide; nephew, Jimmy Vander Weide; mother and father-in-law, Elva and Robert Lewis; and sister-in-law, Robin Boody.

Mary was a graduate of Michigan State University with a Bachelors Degree in Special Education. She worked for 25 years at the State of Michigan. Mary enjoyed trips and shopping in South Haven.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, November 10 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 4:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the church on Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 AM.
