Mary V. Jean (Neal)

Of Jackson, formerly of Lansing, passed away under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at the age of 79 years. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ronald Jean Jr; son, Ronald (Julie) Jean II; grandchildren, Ron, Mary, and Tayin; seven brothers and sisters, Morey Neal, Mike Neal, Miles Neal, Margaret Dixon, Maureen McAlpine, Michelle Brown, and Melissa Hardy; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary Neal; her son, Mark Richard Jean; brother, Mark Neal; and sister in law, Brenda Neal.

Mary was devoted to her family and loved them dearly.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church with Father Timothy Nelson officiating. Inurnment will take place on Thursday, February 26 at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing at 10:00 AM.

The family will receive friends at St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, February 25 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM.

Instead of sending flowers, contributions to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice would be appreciated.
