of Jackson, Michigan, died at the age of 86, on November 1, 2010 at Allegiance Health.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years; Kenneth "Ted" Hamilton.
Together they raised 9 children: Martha (Chris) Kohn, Stephen (Deborah) Hamilton, Mary Joan Russ, Peggy (Russ) Robinson, Sheila (Rob) Baykian, Sally (Rick) Freedberg, Anne Hamilton, Jane (Steve) Maddalena, and Amy (Don) Nicolaus; seventeen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Alice (Richard) Minor and was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Marie (Reilly) Cunningham and her sister Margaret Cassidy. Mary was a long time member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish and loved singing in the choir for over 50 years. She was a graduate of St. John's High School and of Mercy School of Nursing and spent over 30 years in nursing. She worked until retirement at Mercy Hospital. After retirement, she volunteered with the Red Cross providing blood pressure checks for the community. She will be sadly missed by her loving family. According to her wishes, Mrs. Hamilton has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Friday at 10:30 AM. Her cousin, the Rev. Bernard Reilly officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Rosary Thursday 6:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers contributions to Another Day Another Memory (ADAM) in memory of Adam Beiswanger or Queen's Parish would be appreciated.
