Of Jackson, passed away under the loving care of her family on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her sister, Jeanne Duffy Holda; brother, Danny Duffy; special cousins, JoAnn Corcoran, Joette Young, Janet McGill, and Margie Heavy; nieces and nephews, Steve Holda (Tina Ryan), Scott Holda (Gaili), Marcie Holda Shoemaker (Bud), Brian Duffy (Terri), Renee Duffy Hastings (Joe), Paula Duffy Curtiss (Mark), and Christine Duffy; great nieces and nephews, Jacob Holda, Katherine Holda, Nicholas Holda, Mitchell (Brooke) Hastings, Rubie Shoemaker, Zebediah Shoemaker (Danielle), Grace Shoemaker, Emma Curtiss, Collin Duffy, Patrick Duffy, Ethan Meadows, and Collin Meadows; and two great-great nephews, Silas Shoemaker and Clint Duffy. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, James and Marguerite Duffy; brother, Jimmy Duffy; special aunts and uncles, Walt and Florence Louagie and Ted and Leona Kennedy; and nephew, Kurt Duffy.
Mary Lynne was a life long member and volunteer at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She retired from the State of Michigan as a social worker and loved her many stuffed teddy bears and the Michigan Wolverines. She also loved traveling and visiting many countries during her life with her mother and special friends.
A special thank you to Mary Lynne’s nieces and many friends for their kindness and help caring for her the past several days.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Randy Koenigsknecht officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 18 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 6:30 PM.
Instead of sending flowers, contributions to St. John Catholic Church’s St. Vincent dePaul Society would be appreciated.
