Mary Ann DeYoung (White) (Kramic) of Jackson, Michigan passed away peacefully at Vista Grand Villa on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at the age of 92.

Mary Ann was born in Detroit in 1922 to Grace McLaughlin and Charles David White. She and her family moved to Kalamazoo in 1936 where she attended St. Augustine (Hackett) High School .

The family moved to Jackson in 1940 where Mary Ann met and married Stanley Kramic in 1943. Together they raised 3 daughters. After Stanley's death in 1989 she married Marvin DeYoung of Kalamazoo in 1991. They moved to Vista Grand Villa in 2001 and lived there together until Marvin's death in 2010.

Mary Ann is survived by her three daughters: Mary Ellen (Harry) Cotterill of Kalamazoo, Janet (Jeff) Rogers of Saline and Jayne Kramic (Ken Zahorcak) of Sheffield Lake, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Bill. Also surviving are her grandchildren Karen (Brian) Bankston of Kalamazoo and Brian (Katy) Cotterill of Middlesex, Vermont. Mary Ann has three great-grandchildren: Finn Bankston, Anna Cotterill and Ben Cotterill, several nieces and one nephew.

Mary Ann was also blessed with five loving step-children who survive her as well: Doug (Shirley) DeYoung of Plainwell, William (Terri) DeYoung of Mendon, Judy (Bob) Smith of Vicksburg , Kevin DeYoung of Marshall and Vicki DeYoung of Parchment. There are also numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren who survive.

During her long and happy life Mrs. DeYoung loved being with her large group of friends and spending many winters in Florida. She also enjoyed extensive travel in the US, Europe and Australia.

She had been a member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church since 1947 where she participated in many activities. She was also a member of Arbor Hills Country Club and the Jackson Tuesday Musical for several years and more recently a member of the Vista Grand Villa Chorus.

The family would like to offer sincere thanks to the staff at Vista Grand Villa, the NODA program and Hospice Advantage for their special loving care.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Private services were held by the family. She has been laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson.
