BOWSER, MARY "MADELINE"
Madeline went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 1, 2013 after a brief illness at the age of 94. She was born on October 7, 1918 in Fairhaven, MA to Joseph and Olinda Porte. She moved to Jackson in December of 1945. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Miles Bowser, sisters Genevieve (Henry) Johnson and Linda (Woody) Drake. Brothers John (Olive) Porte and Joseph (Dorothy) Porte. She is survived by son David Bowser and daughter Linda Bowser (Tom Davis) and special "daughter" Peggy Tucker, grandchildren, Brian, Kristi and Jason Bowser and several nieces and nephews.
Madeline has been active in St. Mary Star of the Parish since 1950.
Mrs. Bowser is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Father Timothy Nelson will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM with a Rosary at 6:00 PM.
