Mary Ann Ziegler

Mary Ann Ziegler of Jackson, passed away at home on Monday, August 31, 2026 at the age of 91 years. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia Gorman, Catherine Smith and Susan (Tom) Zenz; grandchildren, Charlene (Doug), Dana (Scott), Daniel (Lindsay), Shauna (Tim), Kyle (Cadee), Ryan (Deven), Jaclene, and Jorge (Jamie); great-grandchildren, Daniel, Wesley, Wyatt, Bella, Wade, Breckin, Luka, Eden, Sloan, Auden, Colson, and Decker; sister, Shirley (Jerry) Keena; special friend and caregiver, Linda; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Gerald “Zig”; son, Thomas; son-in-law, Dan; and grandson, Jared.

Mary Ann started her career at City Bank in 1951, retiring after 45 years of loyal service. She was a member of Club 54 where she made numerous lifelong friends. She enjoyed spending time on her houseboat at Torch Lake with her family, spending time at the Casino and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Mary Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. A private interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

In lieu of sending flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Joseph Church would be appreciated.
