Kokoczka, Martin J. —
Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the age of 96 years. He is survived by one sister, Catherine Markiewicz; one brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Dorothy Kokoczka; sister-in-law, Irene Kokoczka; cousins, Josephine Tarnowski and Frank Koziol; eight nieces, Pat (Chuck) Dadswell, Rita (Ken) Tinkham, Paula (Corky) Fillmore, Sue (Don) Trefry, Terry (Chris) Burkey, Fran (Frank) Galardi, Debbie (Craig) Viges, and Christine (Bryce) Grevemeyer; 12 nephews, John (Coke), Phil (Pat) Cyrocki, John (Pat), Chris (Cindy), Jim (Joanie), Rick (Alice), Phil (Karen), Michael, Ron (Marcia) Kokoczka, Bobby (Sally), Marty (Carole) Markiewicz, and Frank (Lynn) Parfen; and many great-nieces and nephews. Martin was preceded in death by three sisters, Harriet Cyrocki, Victoria Copeland, and Mary Parfen; four brothers, John, Frank, Andrew, and Leo Kokoczka; two nieces, Mary Ann Stellingworth and Patty Smith; one great-nephew, Joe Fillmore. Martin was a World War II Veteran and participated in the D-Day Invasion. Martin was a longtime member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish and worked for many years at Clark Equipment as a tool and die maker until his retirement. He loved traveling, fishing, golfing, and great conversations with family and friends. He will be missed by his family and friends. He was a kind and gentle man.
The family will receive friends at St. Stanislaus Catholic church on Monday from 12 noon followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Reverend Randall Miller will be the celebrant.
