Kandell, Martin A.

Of Jackson, formerly of Homer and Concord, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the age of 75 years.  He is survived by three children; Joe (Sheri) Kandell, Frances (Mike) Guadagno and Tony Kandell; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Dorothy Kandell; sister, Neela Kandell; brother, Barry Kandell; first wife, Frances; daughter, Celine Kandell; second wife, Pat Kandell; daughter, Marjorie Kandell.

Martin loved to fish, regardless of the time of year.  He enjoyed the men's club at Arbor North and playing cards there with his weekly card group.  He loved spending time with his family-going on day trips and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.  Martin retired from Albion Industries after many years of service.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place.  The family will receive friends at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Friday, December 15 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM.   The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 2:00 PM with Father Timothy MacDonald as the Celebrant.  Interment of his cremains will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Concord, Michigan.

Instead of sending flowers the family suggests making a memorial contribution to St. Vincent dePaul Society.
