Carpenter, Marlin L.

of Jackson, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 under the loving care of his family and the staff at the Drews Place of Hillsdale at the age of 74 years. He is survived by his brother, Dean Carpenter and stepson, Brenten (Dana) Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne M. Carpenter and his parents, Merlin and Betty.

Marlin graduated from Michigan State University in 1970 with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He retired in 2017 after 46 years from the Perry Power Plant in Perry, Ohio. He loved to tinker, enjoyed Southern Gospel Music, and listening to Jimmy Swaggert Ministries. Marlin was a big Michigan State Fan.

A celebration of Marlin's life will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022 at the Desnoyer Funeral Home at 12:00 Noon with interment to follow at Spring Arbor Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Thursday from 11:00 to 12:00 Noon.
