Hnilicka, Mark

Born on December 6, 1951, peacefully passed away on November 23, 2023 at the age of 71, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.

He is survived by Terri (nee Halloran) his loving wife of 32 years; his son, Sean (Morgan) Hnilicka; and daughters, Sarah Santiago and Katie (Taylor) Arbuckle. Mark leaves behind seven cherished grandchildren: Max, Anthony, Arianna, Eli, Lily, Declan, and Meredith.

The eldest child of George and Irene Hnilicka, who preceded him in death, Mark was raised in Racine Wisconsin. He is also survived by his siblings, John (Chuck Cushing) Hnilicka, Michael (Kathleen) Hnilicka, Mary (John) Kosinski, Jane (Dirk) Petersen, Joe (Shelia) Hnilicka, Ann (Mark) Lee, beloved Uncle Gene (Bonnie) Hnilicka and Aunt Rose Brown, along with an abundance of nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

Mark treasured his family and created fond memories while camping at Peninsula State Park in Door County Wisconsin. He later continued the tradition, finding immense joy in bringing his family back to Door County each summer.

Mark attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He went on to have a very successful career at ADP and CDK Global where he mentored many young professionals. He retired after 35 years.

A devout Catholic, his faith was very important to him. Mark took immense pride in achieving over 35 years of sobriety, remaining an active sponsor of Alcoholics Anonymous throughout his life. His dedication to helping others on their sobriety journey left a lasting impact.

A legacy started by his dad, Mark passed down a love of Badgers and Packers football, to his son. Saturdays and Sundays not watching football were spent on the golf course with friends and family.
