Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at age 55. Mark was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Ball and Helen (Serafin) Ball and a sister, Annette LoCash. Mark is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Higgins) Ball of 32 years; sons Jacob Ball and Jared (Melissa) Ball; brother Terry (Rhonda) Ball; brother James (Fern) Ball; sister Debra (Mike) Morris; several nieces and nephews; and adoring in-laws.

Mark graduated from East Jackson High School in 1978 and attended classes at Jackson Career Center where he developed a love for mechanical design. He worked at Ann Arbor Machine, Miller Tool & Die, then started his own business, MB Automation.

He enjoyed bowling, camping, golfing and was an avid runner. Most of all he looked forward to coming home from work and playing with his two sons. Mark's last few years were full of memory challenges. He rarely complained and faced his illness with a positive attitude and a smile. He most loved spending time with his wife and family.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Mike Valentine for employing Mark much longer than you really had to, the staff at Allegiance Hospital, Legacy Assisted Living, the staff and members from First Church of the Nazarene, and all family and friends who helped with Mark's daily care….with your help and loving care he was able to remain at home in familiar surroundings longer. A special Thank you to: Joyce and Mike Beech, Lori Dragonetti, Lori Fay, Johnny Dragonetti, Julie Krebill, Rebecca Wojtusik, Jacob, Jared and Melissa Ball. Thank you's would not be complete without mentioning all the Tiger games on the deck with Debbie and Mike Morris, Jamie Dake and Cody.

In accordance with Mark's wishes, cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at Jackson First Church of the Nazarene on Monday February 15, 2016 at 3 pm, Pastor Phil Stout officiating.
