SCHULTZ MARJORIE (JOYCE)

of Jackson lost her long courageous battle with cancer Sunday December 19, 2010 surrounded by her loving family at the age of 81 years. She was born on December 5, 1929. Joyce was preceeded in death by her parents Majorie Backes and Ernest Smith, her sister Jacqueline Smith and brother Lawrence J. Smith. Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Jack; brother in law Lawrence H. Smith; sister in law Darlene Betts; Aunt Helen Breitenwischer; children Nancy (Mike) Lund, Don (Cindy) Schultz, Janet (Doug) Hughes and Mike (Vicky) Schultz all of Jackson; eight grandchildren, 4 great-grand children and numerous nieces and nephews. She worked for several years as Controller for Jackson Trotting Association retiring in 1998. Joyce was a member of St.Paul's Episcopal Church and woman of the Moose Chapter 389. Mom will always be remembered for her kind and generous heart who could never find the way to say no to anyone.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday and Wednesday from 4-7 pm

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 11:00 am. Interment will take place in Fifield Cemetery. Reverend Larry Walters officiating.
