Cochran, Marjorie
of Jackson, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the age of 85 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert. Marjorie is survived by five children, Mickey (Judy) Cochran, Patricia (John) Waugh, Mary (Phil) Sponsler, Susan (Bill) Tulpa, Amy (Paul) Varner; grandchildren, Jason (Brenda), Michael (Nicole) and Brian (Leah) Cochran, Matthew (Erica), Jessica and Patrick Waugh, Katie (Ryan) Gibson, Jackie (Brett) Quada, Emily and Cassidy Sponsler, Justin and Brendan Tulpa, Madison, Andrew and Nolan Varner; 11 great grandchildren; one brother, Arthur Morrissey and one sister, Patricia Tumey. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen Fedor, and by her brother, James Morrissey.
Marjorie was a lifelong member of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Parish, was an avid bridge player and also enjoyed spending time with her family.
Marjorie is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. The Mass will be celebrated by Father Timothy MacDonald. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Desnoyer Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Queen of the Miraculous Medal Church or Lumen Christi High School.
