Perticone (Harsch), Marilyn Jean

Age 94, of Jackson, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026. She was born on April 7, 1932, in Jackson, and graduated from St. John High School in 1950.

Jean worked locally at Margaret Mary, Spartan Automotive, and Clark Equipment. She later met the love of her life, Justin Perticone, and the couple married on June 14, 1958, sharing 68 wonderful years together.

As a couple, Justin and Jean loved to dance and were longtime members of the Guys and Dolls Dance Club. A devoted wife and mother, Jean dedicated her life to her family and was blessed with seven children, 18 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren. She found joy in crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and spending vacations and holidays surrounded by her large and loving family.

A devout Catholic, Jean was a longtime parishioner of Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church, where she faithfully prayed in the Adoration Chapel for over 30 years.

Jean is survived by her beloved husband, Justin; her children: Tony; Janet (Tim) Foy; Anne (Chris) Lefere; Steve; and Mike (Jill) Perticone. She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Kathleen (Colligan) Harsch; her sister, Shirley Smith Shafley; her brothers, David, Jim, and Tony; and her children, Joseph and Julie Payne Weber.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Desnoyer Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 5:30 PM.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating. A private interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.
