Marilyn Jean Houghton

Houghton, Marilyn Jean

Passed away on September 30, 2020 at the age of 88. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Houghton.

She is survived by sons, Denny Merx, Curt Proseus, Mark Proseus, Robb (Cindy) Mackenzie and Justin (Lara) Houghton; daughters, Victoria (Richard) Demboski and Heather Davis. She also leaves her four legged friend "Fee Fee".

Marilyn was born in Iron River, Michigan in 1932. In 1954 she took a ferry from the U.P. to find work in the Lower Michigan. She settled in Jackson, Michigan and retired from Spartan Electronics after 37 years.

Marilyn was the rock of the family always showing the love and support to her children. Later in life she showed that same love and support to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. A private family service is planned.
