She graduated from Napoleon High School in 1946. She married Harold Arthur Geiersbach on April 10, 1948. Marilyn will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a good friend and neighbor. A two-time breast cancer survivor, she also was an inspiration to many for the faith, courage and optimism she showed during both of her battles with cancer.

She is survived by daughters Carolyn Haire of Jackson, Jean (Mark) Paschke of Mattawan, and Joan (Gordon) Hauglie of Jackson; grandchildren Brian (Colleen) Lillie of Traverse City, Carin Lillie of Jackson, Kevin (Angie) Lillie of Jackson, and Sarah Paschke of Saline. There will be private interment at Roseland Memorial Gardens thereafter. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to Kevin and Leigh Ganton, Bobby Ganton and the entire staff at Arbor North Living Center, as well as the staff at Great Lakes Caring/Hospice, for the loving care they provided Marilyn. A final thank you that cannot adequately be put into words is extended to her church family.
