Lienhard, Marie K.

Peacefully passed away under the loving care of her family and the staff at Brightside Assisted Living on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the age of 88 years.  She is survived by her two children, Kurt M. Lienhard and Amy M. Lienhard and her granddaughter Mia Isabella Lienhard.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Karl R. Lienhard; brother, Joseph Gengo; and sister, Caroline Portera.

Marie loved the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, shopping, and was an amazing cook, but most importantly was devoted to her husband, children and granddaughter.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 10:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Father Timothy MacDonald officiating.  Cremation will follow the Mass.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, January 23 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM.  The family will also receive friends at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

Instead of sending flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated.
