Long time Michigan resident Marie Berg, age 91, died at Vista Grande Villa Thursday, June 16, 2016 with family at her side. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 24 at 11:00 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr. John Whitlock officiating. A luncheon will follow.
Marie was a teacher and a principal at Holy Spirit School in Norway Michigan. She was an active volunteer in many community groups – the Housing Commission, St. Vincent De Paul, the senior center and American Martyrs Church in Kingsford, Michigan, as well as Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. In Jackson, Michigan.
Marie enjoyed reading, sewing, traveling and dessert.
She is survived by her two children, her daughter and her husband, Betty and Tony Lorenzi, her son and his wife, Mike and Pat Berg. She had two grandsons, Aaron Berg and Brian and his wife Jen Berg. She had one great grandson Eric Berg. Her husband Lawrence Berg predeceased her, as did her two brothers.
Instead of flowers, donations may be sent to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice at 1 S. Jackson Square, Jackson, Michigan 49201.
