Age 93, of Jackson, passed away at her home on Monday, May 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Palmer John Stone on November 8, 2008; son, John A. Stone on September 1, 2009; only brother, Harvey F. Ottney on October 25, 2003; in addition to her parents, Anthony (Andy) Ottney on February 2, 1932, and Rose F. Walters on May 5, 1973. Marguerite was born in Cleveland, Ohio, but spent her childhood in Bunker Hill, Michigan. She was married for 63 years to her soul mate, Pal. Marguerite was the matriarch of her big family and found her place in life as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was most content when she spent summers at Secord Lake surrounded by her family. She found comfort in the past years with her loyal companion/doggie, Sassie. She loved walking and did so right up to the day she passed. Marguerite was a member of St. John's Catholic Church for more than 64 years. She will be missed dearly by her family who find peace in knowing that Marguerite has been re-united with her beloved husband and son.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM with Father James Shaver officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Friday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM.
