Age 65, of Jackson, MI passed away peacefully with family by her side on August 3, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Marguerite was a beloved wife, mother, sister, Nonna, and friend. Marguerite's faith, joy, zest for life, and vibrant energy was felt by all whom she encountered.

Marguerite was born on December 2, 1957 in Ironwood, MI to Kenneth and Audrey Comparin.  She graduated from Ironwood Catholic High School as well as Gogebic Community College.  Marguerite loved her job at the bank in Ironwood and it is there that she met Jerard - the love of her life and husband of 37 years.  Marguerite and Jerard were married in 1985 in Ironwood and moved to Jackson in 1986.  In Jackson, Marguerite thrived as she was an avid member of the Jackson YMCA and actively involved in the Jackson Catholic community.  Marguerite spent the last fourteen years working at Lumen Christi High School as the T.R.I.P. Coordinator and took great pride in serving her loyal customers and helping the school.

Marguerite is survived by her husband Jerard; her children Luke of Fort Wayne, IN, Megan of Jackson, and Paul (Stacey) of Charleston, IL; grandchildren August, Blaise, Gianna, Ella, Oliver, and Evelyn.  She is also survived by her brother Patrick of Bettendorf, IA, and sister Marie of Woodbury, MN.  Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents Kenneth and Audrey (Miles) Comparin and brother Larry.

The Jarzynka family is forever grateful to Dr. Malcolm Trimble and his incredible care, empathy, and compassion.  They are also thankful for the nurses at Henry Ford Jackson Oncology for their tenderness and care.  Additionally, the Jarzynka family would like to thank Dr. Andrew Duda, the Henry Ford Jackson Hospice Home, and the hospice home nurses that provided ethical and compassionate care.

A visitation at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church will be held on Thursday, August 10th from 4-7pm, concluding with a brief scripture service at 7pm.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Friday, August 11th at 10:30am with Reverend Timothy MacDonald.  A private interment will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery.

Marguerite requested for people to wear bright colored attire to celebrate her beautiful life.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lumen Christi Catholic School in Marguerite's name for a scholarship that will be created.
