Margaret "Peg" Wood

Born on February 15, 1919, passed away under the loving care of her family on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Surviving are her children, Mary (Robert) Scheloske, Timothy Wood, Thomas (Suzanne) Wood, and Joseph Wood; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the daughter of Mary Ann (Cassidy) Patters and Joseph Patters. She was one of seven children, who preceded her in death. Peg married Noel O. Wood in 1941 who passed away in 1956.

Peg was a graduate of St. John High School and a lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling and loved the Detroit Tigers. She owned Peggy Sandwich Shop for ten years and worked at Commonwealth Associates for many years.

Mrs. Wood is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:30 AM with Fr. James Shaver officiating. Interment will take place at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 to 8 PM with a Vigil Service at 6:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. John's Church would be appreciated.
