SWARTOUT (MALANEY), MARGARET MARY
Of Jackson passed away Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Countryside Care Center. She was born on August 9, 1921 in Jackson. Survived by seven sons and daughters-in-law: Richard (Joan), Daniel (Margie), Dennis (Carol), David (Mary Jo), Steve (Pattie), Bernie (Patti) and Tim (Terri); Twelve grandchildren: Michael, Tina, Marc, Amy, Kristy, Christopher, Erin, Lauren, Elise, Cara, Patrick and Eric; Ten great-grandchildren: Samantha, Oliver,Katie, Liam, Johnathan, Felix, Tulip, Sparrow, Lucy and Bryson; One brother: Dr. Charles Richard (Ann Mary) Malaney and one sister, Louise Timmons Randall and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Swartout was a teacher at St. John's High School and Lumen Christi Catholic High School retiring in 1983 and a was longtime member of the Amaranth Club.
Mrs. Swartout is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Father Mathias Thelen will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Margaret and Bernie Swartout Family Scholarship Fund at Lumen Christi Catholic High School.
