McDonough, Margaret Ann "Peggy"

Born December 7, 1940, beloved wife of Tom McDonough for 58 years; adored mother to Tom, Tim (Sandy), Brian (Margaret), and John (Lena); and cherished grandmother of Evan, Lena, Connor, Caitlin, Mollie, and Lorelei. She passed in the early afternoon with her family by her side on Sunday, November 24th, 2019.

Margaret was a sweet sister to her siblings, Mary, Kathy, Jerry, Patsy, Julie, and Maureen. Her many nieces and nephews will remember her fondly as Aunt Peggy.

She worked at the Intermediate School District for 21 years. Peggy volunteered at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, where she assisted in organizing a sweeping restoration of the beautiful and historic stained glass windows. She knitted many a joyful Christmas stocking for her children, grandchildren, and family.

She will be missed dearly.

It was always her wish to donate her body to science at the University of Michigan despite the fact that two of her sons went to Michigan State.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:00 AM.

Instead of sending flowers, contributions to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church Window Restoration Fund would be appreciated.
