Krieger, Margaret Patricia
of Jackson. At age 74, passed away at home in the presence of her family on Friday March 4th, 2011 from Lung Cancer. She was born in Chicago on April 2nd, 1936, the younger daughter of the two daughters of Charles M. and Margaret T. (Richo) Schnell. She is survived by her husband Deacon/Dr. Albert Krieger whom she married on November 30th, 1963 at St Joseph Parish, Round Lake, IL; She is also survived by: her children Sharie (James) Douglas of Jackson and Margaret (Mark) Brewster of Perry; two grandchildren Michelle and Andrew O'Neil; sister Joan Kronenberg of Chicago and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Margaret, a member of St John The Evangelist Catholic Church, was a waitress in several of Jackson's Restaurants. She will be fondly remembered for her love of God and for all of God's creatures, her great cooking, her generosity and her concern for others, her hometown of Chicago, her Red Mustang, and her many friends at the West Avenue Big Boy Restaurant. She was known to the children of the neighborhood as the DogLady because of her concern for stray and lost dogs. Mrs. Krieger is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held Tuesday 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 10:00 AM. Interment St. John's Cemetery. Father Robert Pienta officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Rosary Monday 6:30 PM.
