Major Dennis Charles McCarron Jr.

Passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.  On December 15, 1968, Dennis was born to Dennis McCarron Sr. and Anna (Hill) McCarron. He was united in marriage to Tammie Jo Hemry-McCarron on September 5, 2018.

Dennis graduated from Jackson Community College and received an Associate of Arts and then went on graduate from Davenport University with a Bachelor of Business Administration as well as The University of Phoenix for a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA). Dennis was a dedicated serviceman and proudly served his country, first serving in the Marines for 2 years and then the National Guard for 26 years and retired as a Major. He did one tour overseas during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his wife, going fishing with his son, and driving his 2021 Dodge Challenger.

Dennis will be missed by his wife, Tammie; son, Austin McCarron; his parents, Dennis McCarron Sr. and Anna McCarron; sister, Stacy McCarron; nephews, William Hicks, Ryan Preuss; several great aunts, Ida (Joe) Adams, Carol Hill, Sharon (Art) Thompson, Judy (Don) Trefry; great uncle, Wayne (Jane) Hill; uncle Charles Lake; aunt, Michele (James) Hogston and aunt Debbie Hill; father-in-law, Larry Hemry; daughter in law and son-in-law, Kaitlyn Stewart and Ra'shnne Stewart and Brandon Cobb; son-in-law and daughter-in-law Stephanie Cobb and  Kayden Cobb; grandchildren, Mar Stewart, Jaliyah and Janiyah Stewart, Ryleigh Cobb, and Tyler Cobb; brother and sister in-laws, Rachel and Brett Hemry, Scott and Beth Hemry, Bryan and Joani Mitchell; former step-daughter, Courtney Plybon Custard; as well as other family members and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl Hill; uncle, Earl Hill Jr.; and mother-in-law, Patsy Leavitt.

The family will receive friends for a memorial visitation at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  A private inurnment with full Military Honors will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
