Jackson, MI, peacefully joined her beloved husband Eddie who preceeded her in death 6/10/10 .

Madge and Eddie were married in Corpus Christi, TX (10/3/45) for 64 years.

They built a lasting legacy through their 10 children and grandchildren; Cathy Rakowski (children Noelle and Michele), David Rakowski (children Kim, Amy and Josh), John Rakowski (wife Sue, children Wendy and Holly), Nancy Mangus (children Kyler and Molly), Anita Devine (children Errin, Tully and Blair), Mary Beth Smith (husband Phil, children Jennifer, Rachel and Erik), Laura Rakowski-Cole (children Reece and Bailey), Bob Rakowski, Becky Rakowski (daughter Ni'Chelle), Jim Rakowski (wife Debbie, children Kiley and Kameron) as well as over 20 great grandchildren, all of whom adored her.

Madge was preceded in death by her parents, Mabel and Harry Westerlund, her brothers Harry and George and sister Alice Postma. She is survived by her sister Mary Jean Westerlund of Jackson.

Madge was an incredible mother, artist and caretaker of anyone that needed comfort or help. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church prior to retirement in FL.

She and Eddie lived in Sarasota, Fl for almost 15 years before making Jackson her home again.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at a date and time to be announced later.

The family would like to thank Trellis Gardens for their wonderful care of our mother and Allegiance Hospice Care for the attention, tenderness and care in her final days among us.

We all take comfort from the knowledge that our parents can now continue their love story under God's comfort and blessings.

In lieu of flowers contributions to the Allegiance Hospice Home of Jackson MI would be greatly appreciated
