Lyn Polena

Age 62, of Jackson, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 3, 2014.  She was born on May 13, 1951, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Leo and Helene Teholiz, who both preceded her in death.  She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Richard; her son Christopher and his wife Cari; her son Stephen; her sister Wendy Cherba and her husband David; her brother Peter Teholiz and his wife Teresa Brown; and several nieces and nephews.  Lyn retired in December of 2012 after working for many years as a teacher aide in schools in the Jackson area.  Her smile and positive outlook on life brought joy to all those around her.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 7, 2014 at St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 10:00 AM with Fr. Tim Nelson officiating.  Interment 3:15 PM at St. Hedwig Cemetery in Dearborn Heights.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Vigil Service 6 PM.  The family will also receive friends at St. Mary's Church on Monday from 9:30 to 10:00 AM.

Contributions to St. Mary's Church would be appreciated.
