Harrington, Lyle Ray "Butch"
Died peacefully at Allegiance Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, January 27th, 2020 in Jackson, Michigan at the age of 78.
Lyle is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Harrington of Jackson. He is survived by his children: Daniel Harrington and Mary (Jim) Johnston; his grandchildren: Christy Johnston and James "Jimmy" Johnston; his sister: Shirley (Bob) Lewis; his cousin: Babs Gass; and his sisters-in-law: Jan Moor, Robyn (Michael) Reinerth, and Becky (Chuck) Grenier.
Lyle was born on February 28th, 1941 in North Adams, Michigan to Beatrice and Lyle Harrington. He married Carol Lynn Kerby, his high school sweetheart in 1961. After moving to Jackson, Lyle began working for Camshaft Machine Company as a machine operator and retired from there in 2007. Over the course of their marriage, the couple welcomed 2 children into their home and 2 grandchildren along with 3 furbabies: Mocha, Cocoa, and Hazel. His family remembers him as hard-working, a gentle soul, family oriented, and the best father and grandfather in the world with a huge heart for others. Lyle loved watching sports; mainly, the Detroit Tigers and spending time with his family as well as his cats. He also loved to go out on his boat and fish.
According to his wishes, Lyle will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
