Marquez, Luis Sr.

Age 89, of Jackson, Michigan passed away Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.

Luis was born April 21, 1927 in Acambaro, Guanajuato, Mexico to Felix Marquez and Gregoria (Garcia) Marquez. Luis was a Auto Body Repairman for over 30 years. He enjoyed soccer and boxing in his younger years and enjoyed watching all sports.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Frances and he also leaves behind two sons, Luis Jr., of Wilmington, Illinois and Ruben of Jackson and one daughter Yolanda of Mason. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Angel (Travis) Sabin of Allegan, Ruben II of Jackson, Jade of Denver, Colorado and Rachel Kinch of Mason and one great grandson, Hunter Sabin and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday, May 23, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a service immediately following at the Desnoyer Funeral Home, 204 N. Blackstone, Jackson with Father Kurian Kollapallil of St. John Catholic Church officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service.

Instead of flowers, donations can be made to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
