Lowell J. Muma

Born August 18, 1935, passed away on Monday, June 2, 2014 after a short illness. He was a beloved husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. Survived by his wife, Marcia; three children, Lowell J. Muma Jr. (L.J.) and his wife, Treasa, Shelley Ward, and Lori Kay Shivley and her husband, Michael Shivley; one granddaughter and six grandsons; and five great grandchildren, which all believed they were his favorite.

Lowell lived a rich and full life. He graduated from Jonesville High in 1954 and married fellow classmate Marcia (Reed) in 1955. He served in the United States Army. Lowell was a United States Postal Carrier in East Lansing until hiring in at Oldsmobile in 1960, where he retired after 42 years of service. He summered at Pleasant Lake, Michigan and wintered in Zephyrhills, Florida.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 10:00 AM at the Desnoyer Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.
