Taft, Louise M.
Of Jackson, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the age of 83 years, with her family by her side. She was born in Jackson on August 11, 1926, the seventh of Dennis and Mattie Race's eight children. On August 13, 1944 Louise married Robert L. Taft and together they lived a life devoted to their family and friends. Together they owned and operated the Wash and Dry Laundry. Louise is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert L. Taft; a daughter, Cindy (Doug) Fojtik; grandchildren, Kara and Trevor; very special niece, Judy (John) Herrygers; sister-in-law, Pat (Dick) Westerman; brother-in-law, Bill (Irene) Taft; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Louise is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place at Roseland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reverend Robert Pienta will be the celebrant.
The family will receive family & friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Sunday from 2–4 and 6–8 PM. A Rosary Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 PM.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of the Jackson County Medical Care Facility's Unit 2 for the loving care they provided to Louise.
