Sauceda, Louis Sr.
Passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the age of 74.
He was born on April 25, 1945 to Antonio and Benita Sauceda where he was raised with four brothers, Manuel, Lalo, David and Tony Jr. He is a graduate of Jackson High School, after high school Louis proudly served for the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked for Goodyear until 1982 and retired from Consumers Energy in 2010. He served on many committees and enjoyed volunteering his time. In retirement he loved spending time with family, working on his many cars, smoking a good cigar, listening to Mexican music and cheering on his Michigan Wolverines.
Louis is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jesusita, his children Maria Isabel and Louis Jr. (Tonya Price), grandsons Louis A. (Desaree Eubanks), Chaz, Corey, Cruz, Jalen and Demetrius and great-grandchildren Larissa, Amelia, Angel, Ryleigh and Asher as well as Kimani Bogan, Gloria May, Saige Price, Autumn Connor and several others from the neighborhood who knew him as "Pa". Go Blue Dad! We love you!
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Fr. James Shaver officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Thursday before the Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
Contributions to the Jackson Salvation Army or the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
