O'Connell, Louis William
of Jackson passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the age of 101 years. Survived by his four children, Michaeleen Barczak, Mary Frances Venroy, Nancy Ann (John) Holbrook, and Louis Michael "Mick" O'Connell; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandson; also numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary A. O'Connell; three sisters; and two brothers. Louis was a United States Veteran of World War II and he had been employed by Anderson Distributing.
Mr. O'Connell is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a Prayer Service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Anthony's Bread or to the Jackson Interfaith Shelter would be appreciated.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM with a Rosary Service at 6 PM.
