Lorrie Jones, 53, of Stroudsburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on July 3rd, 2020.

Lorrie was born on December 14, 1966 to Gene and Gerrie Konopacki in Jackson MI. She graduated from Lumen Christi High School where she still holds track and field records. After moving to Pennsylvania, she met Kenneth (Kacy) Jones in 1994, and they wed March 29th 1997, going on to have two children, Samantha and Jessica.

When Lorrie had Samantha, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother, wife, daughter, and sister. Lorrie was always there to be a role model, building up Samantha and Jessica, supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was Samantha through college career constantly being there to push her to reach her full teaching potential or Jessica through her mission to work at Disney and being her number one fan, she made it her mission to improve the lives of her family and others.

Lorrie was a passionate Girl Scout Leader and dedicated her life to help transform and mold young girls within the Monroe County community. She was one of GSHPA's greatest supporters and loved her troops and service unit more than anything. She was extremely proud of everything they have accomplished and the difference they have been able to make. We will miss her greatly.

Lorrie had a deep love for many things in life including traveling the world with her family and friends, especially her mother. She was a self-proclaimed Disney expert and that became her destination of choice in recent years; this became very evident during the Christmas time season where she displayed a magnificent Disney tree. You could always find her sporting her Eeyore jacket. Lorrie was extremely proud of her Polish heritage. Whether it was attending a Polka festival, watching her dad play drums in his polka band, or cooking up amazing Polish food every Christmas, she embraced it all.

Lorrie was preceded in death by her father Gene Konopacki. Her memory lives on through Kacy, Samantha, Jessica, mother Gerrie, brothers Creig (Kelly) and Scott, niece and nephew Austin and Amber, honorary daughter Sarah, and countless other adoring friends and family. The family requests that in lieu of flowers and notes, donations are sent to GSHPA where you can title it in honor of Lorrie Jones. There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday July 11th from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at her family's home 3025 Robinson Road, 49203.
