Vessey, Loraine Patricia (Kaminski, Dutton)

Of Jackson, passed away at the age of 81 on Friday, March 23, 2018. Loraine was born on August 2, 1936 in Jackson, Michigan to Felix and Tillie Kaminski. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard Kaminski, sister-in-law Rita Kaminski, and her two nephews Timothy and Steven Kaminski. Loraine was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years Robert "Bob" Vessey in 2008. Surviving are one daughter Kimberlee (John) Lynch of Jackson and son, Scott (Connie) Dutton of California. She was a beloved "Nanny" to her grandchildren Whitney and Alexandra Lynch, Scotty Dutton and great grandma to Douglas Crane. She is also survived by several step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Loraine graduated from Jackson High School in 1954 and attended Jackson Junior College. She loved to read, do puzzles, and play golf. She was a member of the Polish Legion of American Veterans, Past Elks Ladies Auxiliary #113 of Jackson, Veterans Ladies Auxiliary (PLAV), Past Volunteer at Allegiance Health, St. Stanislaus Rosary Society, and a long time and active member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel.

Mrs. Vessey is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 9:30 AM followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Chapel with Fr. Richard Eberle, O.S.F.S. officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 27 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 5:00 PM.

To my very special and dearest friend Lorraine Tyslenklo, thank you for your wonderful friendship, our special talks and just being there for me. To Rosalie Hendershot, thank you so much for your patience when you had to take me places. Also, to my birthday club girls, thanks for your wonderful friendship. I want to thank my daughter Kim for all her help and also being there when I needed you. I couldn't have done it without you….thank you so much! To my son Scott, I enjoyed all those long talks we shared and for the wonderful times I spent with you and Connie on my trips to California. Also, a special thanks to my son-in-law John for all your help in doing those special projects I asked of you.
