DOHERTY, LOIS A.
Formerly of East Lansing passed away under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Hearthstone of Kentwood Assisted Living Center on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 age 90 years. She was born on May 29, 1919 to P. Wm. And Clara Schlamb and was preceded in death by her husband John "Tony" Doherty, her parents and a sister Bernice Doyle. Surviving are son John (Shirley) Doherty of Grand Rapids Michigan and daughter Judy (David) Childs of Lake LeAnn and four grandchildren; Dr. Jon (Jennifer) Doherty, Jennifer (Paul) Faust), Lisa (Dr. Tim) Whalen and Monty Childs. Five great grandchildren; Adair Whalen, Ava Childs, Aidan and Luke Doherty and James Faust. Sister Roberta Hill of Hillsdale along with many nieces and nephews. Lois loved her family, loved entertaining and spending time at her cottage on Lake Michigan. Mrs. Doherty is at the Desnoyer Funeral Home where services will be held Friday 12 Noon. Private interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday from 11 AM to 12 Noon.
