NaDell (Gorzen) (Durham), Linda Lee
of Jackson passed away at the Allegiance Hospice Home surrounded by her loving family and into the arms of the loving Savior on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the age of 75 years. Preceded in death by her husbands, Wilbur NaDell and Samuel Gorzen; one son, Greg Gorzen; and grandsons, Aaron, Nathan, and Brett Gorzen.
Survived by her seven children, Ed (Joylynn) Gorzen, Mark Gorzen, Sherry (Dana) Davenport, Rick (Barb) Gorzen, Sheila Gorzen, Denise Collis, and Derrick Gorzen; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Hayden (Barb) Durham; special nephew, David Durham; and by her special friends, Kay Donahee, Ruth Kolek, Maggie Lutz, and Ann Fenn.
Linda was very involved in her church, the food and clothing ministry, and was a powerful prayer warrior. She was a true Christian and was a very giving, loving, forgiving, and compassionate women of God. Linda owned and operated her own beauty salon for years. She was a fabulous cook and well known as the "cookie lady" synonymous for the thousands of Christmas cookies she made for her family, friends, police and fire departments and for the needy.
According to her wishes, Linda has been cremated. A celebration of her life memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at
the First Church of the Nazarene, 3905 Clinton Road, Jackson, Michigan.
The family will receive friends at the church from noon until the time of service.
