DeLaet, Linda M.
Of Jackson, passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Jackson County Medical Care Facility under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice at the age of 77 years. Survived by her husband of 37 years, Thomas C. DeLaet; five children, Debra (Jim) Rutledge, Daniel (Kim) DeLaet, Thomas DeLaet, Brian Hammett, and Steve (Heather) Hammett; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brothers and sister, Gerry (Marge) Horsch, Doug (Barbara) Harsch, and Judy (Bill) Ives; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Millicent Horsch and two sisters, Bonnie Hilder and Jane Lantis.
Linda was a secretary during her working life and enjoyed helping her husband train and race their horses. She enjoyed gardening and Wednesday lunch with the girls.
According to her wishes, Linda has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church with Fr. Timothy MacDonald officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
Instead of sending flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made to Queen's Church.
