Skidmore, Lillian Ruth
Resident of Vista Grande Villa in Jackson, Michigan (formerly of Somerset, Michigan) passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the age of 95 years. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio and later lived in New York. She met her husband where they worked at The Mount Sinai Hospital NYC. In 1951, they moved to Detroit. She worked at Sinai Hospital of Detroit from 1951 until 1986. She began her career as a secretary, retiring after 35 years as Director of Medical Staff Services,
From 1988 until 1999, she volunteered at the Jackson Michigan State Police Post in a clerical position, and became a part-time employee until 2006. She was a member of various organizations: Past President of the Michigan Association Medical Staff Services, She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Jackson where she volunteered and served on the Care Corps.
She was preceded in death by Howard, her husband of 47 years and her parents, Joseph and Amalie Krieger. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Dan) Conrad; grandson, Jesse Bowers; great-grandson, Jayce Bowers; sister, Irene (Jerry) Guarracino; niece, Danielle Guarracino; great-niece Julia (Arjel Bautista); niece, Cheryl (Jan) Rasmussen; great-nephews, James and John; great-nieces, Isabelle and Cathryn Rasmussen; step granddaughter, Kim (James) Walters; step grandsons, Michael Conrad and Rob (Dana) Conrad; and four step great-grandchildren, Autumn and Averie Conrad and Addelyn and Gavin Walters.
She was cremated with private burial at Somerset Township Cemetery.
