Williams, Leslie H.

of Jackson, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 under the loving care of his family after a short illness at the age of 94 years. He was born in Elk Rapids, Michigan on March 30, 1928. His parents were Bruce Williams and M. Helen (Pitman) Williams. He is survived by three children, Jan (Steve) Krzesicki, Bruce (Kathleen McLaughlin) Williams, and David (Michelle) Williams; grandchildren, Nathan and Jacob Krzesicki, Lauren (Alec) Cross and Jason Williams; sister, Edna Marie Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Emma Jean "E.J." Williams; grandson, Christopher David Williams; and siblings, Charlie and Norma Williams.

Leslie was an United States Veteran of the WWII, participating in the occupation of Japan. He graduated from MSU in 1951with a Civil Engineering Degree and retired from Consumers Energy in 1987. Leslie was involved at First United Methodist Church, serving on the board and in the choir. He was the former president of the Consumers Powers Employees Club and was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Jackson, Jaycees, and Habitat for Humanity. Leslie was also an avid golfer and assembled lots of puzzles.

Funeral Services for Leslie will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 AM at First United Methodist Church with Pastor Tonya Arnesen and Rev. Julie Nygaard officiating. Interment will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Elk Rapids, Michigan on Saturday, September 10 at 2:00 PM.

The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.

Contributions to First United Methodist Church Music Department or Vista Grande Villa Activity Fund would be appreciated.
