Leon Lewis “Beannie” Emery

Age 83, of Pleasant Lake, passed away Saturday morning, June 6, 2020 at home under the care of his family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice from Alzheimer's Disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and William Emery; brothers, Tony and Bill; sisters, Aileen, Marilyn, Patricia, and Joan; his son, John; and his grandson, Sean Michael Emery. Leon married Christine Adamczyk on August 6, 1960 and she survives him along with his son, David; grandsons, Jarod and Joseph (Shannon) Emery; and great-grandchildren, Griffen and McKenna.

Leon worked at Michigan Bakeries, Walker Manufacturing, Hayes Albion, and reitred from Melling Tool Company. He enjoyed golf, bowling, and coaching Vandercook Little League. He served in the United States Army.

Following his wishes, Leon has been cremated and no services will be held. Final resting place will be held at St. John's Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Leon's name may be made to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. The family would like to thank Dr. Lake and the staff nurses, Missy and Renee for their care and compassion.
