of Jackson, Michigan was born on March 23, 1926 and passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 peacefully with friends and relatives by his side. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty Patla of 66 years. Leo leaves behind one brother; one sister; three Godchildren; and many nieces and nephews along with many special friends.

Leo graduated from Jackson High in 1944. He joined the army and served in WW2. After the war he went to work at Clark Equipment for 39 years and then went to work for Brinks for 13 years prior to retiring. Leo was a lifetime member of Queens Parish, volunteered at the Saint Joseph Home for Boys, lifetime member of Rose City Post, and Jackson Moose Lodge. He was an avid bowler. Leo loved playing cards with friends and family, along with taking Casino trips. He was loved by all that knew him. A very special thanks to Great Lakes Caring, the Manor, and all who loved him.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Queen of the Miraculous Medal Catholic Church on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 10:30 AM with Father Timothy MacDonald as the Celebrant. The family will receive friends before the Mass, from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.

The family suggests that, instead of sending flowers, please consider a memorial donation to your favorite charity.
