Latoszewski, Leo John

Has gone to be with Christ and will meet the love of his life and his wife of nearly 60 years, Edna. Leo passed away on Thursday, January 30, 2014 age 94 years. He was preceded in death by his son Gary, his parents Emma and Valentine, brothers Frank, Ed, John and his sister Helen Reeve. Leo is survived by his daughter, Carol (Donald) Cox, sons Dennis (Shirley) and Kim David Latoszewski, 4 grandchildren, Arron and Chad Latoszewski, Sara Bieda and Traci Martin. 5 great grandchildren, Jessica, Tyler, Kaylee, Mariah and Nathan and 3 great great grandchildren.

Leo served in the US Army during WWII. Upon his return to Jackson he opened Val's Grocery with his father. After closing the store, he went to work at Dawn Food Products as an accountant for over 20 years. Edna and Leo were Charter Members of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and have remained with the Parish since. True to his lifetime of giving to others, Leo has donated his body to the U of M Medical School. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.

Special thanks to Southern Care Hospice for their care during his final days. The family is thankful for the wonderful care Leo was given this last year by the caring staff at the Bethany Home.
