Lee Robert Reeve

April 23, 1945 — May 5, 2026

Lee Robert Reeve

Age 81, of Jackson Michigan, passed away on May 5th, 2026 surrounded by his wife and family. Beloved husband of Cynthia (Flintoft) for more than 35 years. Loving father of Kristen (Jim) Paul, Jon (Michele) Reeve, Molly (Victoria) Reeve, Todd (DeeDee) Mortimer, Chad (Stephanie) Mortimer, Kristina (Adam) Garcia and Elizabeth Boldt. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Michael), Jessica, Samantha, Brendan, Hope, Ryan, Katie, Alison, Carter, Jensen, Conner, Michael, Erin, Camryn, Andrew, and Derek. Proud great-grandfather of Kai. Dear uncle, cousin, godfather, and friend to many. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, his older brother Donald and younger brother James.

Lee was born on April 23, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Marie Neva (Laberteaux) and Raymond Leslie Reeve. His family later settled in Lansing, Michigan, where Lee attended Holy Cross Grade School and graduated from Sexton High School in 1963. After earning his degree from Lansing Community College, Lee attended Western Michigan University and began his career as an industrial engineer at General Motors’ Lansing Fisher Body plant. He worked at GM for more than 36 years before retiring in 2003. To this day, his colleagues from Fisher Body remain some of his closest friends.

Growing up, Lee met Cyndi on camping trips with their cousins and in 1989 they reconnected and built a loving relationship together founded on their strong mutual faith in God. They enjoyed traveling the world together. They visited all 50 states, took more than 20 cruises, attended many NCAA Final Fours, and toured most of our national parks.

In the years following his retirement, Lee found great purpose in finding opportunities to use his time, talent and treasure to help others. Lee initially tried his hand working with Habitat for Humanity before realizing it wasn’t his passion. Lee drove cancer patients to their doctor visits, counseled senior citizens on Medicare drug plan options, and completed income tax filings for countless seniors. Lee and Cyndi helped counsel engaged couples during their marriage preparation and served as Eucharistic Ministers at St. John’s in Jackson, MI and St. Finbar in Naples, FL.

Each winter, Lee and Cyndi escaped the cold Michigan winters and spent time at their home in Naples, Florida. There, they became part of the Marco Shores Estates community, where Lee formed many treasured friendships.

Lee enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and shooting pool. He was an avid reader. He loved going to dinner and the theater. In Florida he treasured the morning coffee group and daily bike rides with friends.

Lee had a wonderful sense of humor and a quick wit that made every gathering brighter. Whether playing a round of golf, sharing a knee-slapping laugh, watching his beloved Michigan State Spartans, or enjoying a sweet treat, life was simply more fun with Lee around.

Above all, Lee would want to be remembered for his faith in God. His faith guided every aspect of his life, and he wished for everyone to know the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Chas Canoy officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Desnoyer Funeral Home on Friday, May 8 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 6:30 PM. The family will also receive friends at the Church on Saturday, May 9 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
