Of Jackson died peacefully at home surrounded by his family that loved him dearly on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at the age of 65 years. He is survived by his daughter Amy (Russell) Savoie, three grandchildren Ava, Mason and Evan Savoie, brother Michael (Mary) Kuras, six nieces and nephews, brother in law Joe (Wanda) Crippen, four nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Meri whom he married on January 27, 1973.
Larry retired as a Corrections Officer for the Michigan Dept. Of Corrections after 26 years of service and in 1998 he was named the Corrections Officer of the Year. He was a member of the Polish Falcons and was a longtime member of the Lumen Christi Titan Club.
According to his wishes Larry has been cremated. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father Robert Pienta officiating.
